What is arbeit.swiss anyway?
arbeit.swiss is the official information portal of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Directorate for Labour. - Employment agencies — private recruitment agencies working with the RAV system

As a job seeker, you will mostly find yourself in the first category.
The Job-Room: More than just a job board
A core element of arbeit.swiss is the Job-Room (job-room.ch) — but many job seekers massively underestimate it.
What the Job-Room offers:
- Vacant positions from all over Switzerland (including jobs subject to the reporting obligation)
- A candidate database where you can publish your profile
- eServices: electronic submission of documents to the unemployment insurance fund
- ASAL 2.0: the new digital payout system (more on this in the next article)
Important: There are jobs that must be advertised exclusively via the Job-Room — this is called the job reporting obligation. As a job seeker, you see these jobs first, before they appear on other platforms.

The website is comprehensive and well-structured. But it is an information platform, not an implementation platform. It explains to you:
